I had a difficult assembly because I got one faulty column, but I was able to make it work. The metal part is brass, very yellow. I'm in the process of redecorating, I still need to change all the silver from my decorations, but I wish it was a satin gold or antique brass. It's very yellow!In addition I made a mistake regarding the color, I should had ordered the teal. But it is a gorgeous forest green.It's a beautiful bar stool, I was able to make the pneumatic column to work, the height is adjustable. I'm not sure if I am keeping or returning though.The leg holes to insert the top part of the chair, don’t match with the top chair holes, i had to assemble it with only 2 correct holes, the other 2 are hidden under the aluminum. Also the metal where I’m supposed to put the foot is not aligned with the top of the chair. The quality is good, I loved the chair except for those details?When I received them I didn’t set them up right away.. when I finally open them barstool was broke
