I had to place mine about 4.5 ft above the door handle so my son wont try to attempt to get it open. the tabs that cover the bar are very secure. it would take awhile for anyone to break in. going to be buying a few more next month for other doors in the house. Highly recommended!Feel more secure at night with this bar on the front door. If someone gets through my bolt, this will be an extra deterrent. My handyman installed it in less than 10 minutes.Product seems to be good quality, but I'm not seeing $100 there. Be aware of tall molding around your door blocking installation. I had to trim the aluminum bar down to fit inside some molding. Not a big deal, but be aware and don't panic.It seems to be Hell for stout. Be aware also you are adding an impediment to an exit of your home. Train on how to open the device if you should need to exit through it during a fire or other emergency, God forbid.
